About Pelican Bay Ltd.

Pelican Bay Ltd. was started in 1982 by Char Pfaelzer when her family relocated from Massachusetts to Florida. David Pfaelzer had a great new job, Justin and Emma were flourishing at a terrific little school on the beach. Char thought a hobby blending herbs for Dip Mixes might be fun. Pelican Bay Ltd. was started at the kitchen table with the entire family pitching in. After several moves over the years, David came to work full time in 1990 and was instrumental in the growth and success of the company until his death from cancer in February 2004. As a teenager, Justin worked tradeshows every summer and graduated from Williams College in 1994. He was responsible for turning the company into a "real business." He married Amy in 2002. Baby Grace was born July 1st, 2003 and in 2006, we welcomed Sage. Emma is a teacher and lives in North Carolina with her yellow labs, Colby and Louise. On May 30, 2009, Emma was happily married to Kriss Bryan, who is a wonderful addition to our family.
